Working with Sussex Marksman

Once we receive your enquiry the sequence of events will be as follows:

1) We will contact you by telephone to discuss your problem. This will allow us to assess whether we believe we can help and you to check whether you like our approach. If we don't think we can help, we will say so, giving you the reasoning and not waste your time!

2) If that initial discussion is positive, we will arrange to visit the problem site with you to make a detailed assessment on the ground. This will cover safety, effectiveness and ensure that legal aspects are all in order. In order to make this as swift and effective as possible, we will send you a questionnaire beforehand, amn example is shown below. We will also provide a copy of our insurance certificate(s) at that point.

3) After that meeting, we will prepare a detailed "permission slip" - a document that specifies the boundaries of the area concerned, the quarry agreed, the type of weapon to be used (air rifle, sub-12 ft lbs), name and photo of the marksman and various other details. This document is not a legal requirement but is useful for insurance purposes. We don't operate without it. Note also that you can revoke permission at any time with no questions asked, simply send us an email.

4) Once this document has been agreed and signed by both of us we can move on to the practicalities. We may suggest a trail cam survey to establish patterns of behavious, favoured runs etc. or this may not be necessary. We can discuss and agree: hide/feeder station locations, preferred visit timing - both day of the week and timing, visit routines - do you want us to knock on the door before we deploy and again when we leave, let you know by phone/text, just get on with it? You make the rules! How do you want carcasses dealt with? You let us know, we will follow your instructions. Any details you want covered here - we like to discuss and agree so we can ensure you are happy.

5) Costs - if you entrust us with handling your problem, we will deal with it professionally - but we are not a "pest control company" - we are air rifle enthusiasts and are not seeking to make a living from this. Therefore, we do not charge for our time or for our equipment. Depending on the circumstances we may ask you to fund or contribute towards feeder/baiting costs and travel costs or we may not. Either way - we will let you know, no surprises!
